Woodlawn Cemetery located in Elmira, New York houses the gravesites of abolitionists who participated in the underground railroad. The map in the picture to the right is where all the abolitionists are buried in the cemetery. I've merged the map into the hair of the woman on the left. Abolitionists helped slaves to freedom, so I chose to represent the map in her hair because part of being FREE is being able to wear your hair how it grows out of your head.
